Baby Gunn’s Animal Rescue, founded in 2018 and located in Paris, Texas, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to saving one paw at a time—big or small.

Baby Gunn’s was founded in loving memory of sweet Gunny. Gunny was adopted from a shelter as a puppy and welcomed into the best family ever. He instantly became best friends with his owner’s little boy, Alden, and was Alden’s first dog.

Then, out of nowhere, Gunny became ill. After multiple tests, his family received heartbreaking news: at only six years old, Gunny was diagnosed with lymphoma. Less than two weeks after his diagnosis, his condition worsened, and his family made the difficult decision to help him cross the Rainbow Bridge.

Although his life was short, Gunny brought tremendous joy and love to his family—especially his best friend, Alden, who literally grew up alongside him. Our goal is to honor Gunny’s memory by giving every animal that comes through our doors the same opportunity to enjoy a wonderful life like Gunny had, because they all deserve that chance.

Every animal in our care receives a veterinary health examination, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, heartworm testing, spaying or neutering, and flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Each dog is also microchipped for life at our expense.

We require an adoption application for every animal to help ensure each animal is the right fit for your family.
